The first few days of a sugar detox will be challenging. Here are a few tips to get through:
Drink plenty of water (1/2 gallon to 1 gallon a day) .
Reduce intake of bread and pasta (most are filled with sugar).
Have fruit on hand to help with cravings (No more than two to four servings a day).
Eat healthy fats (such as avocado, nuts, etc.).
Eat adequate amounts of protein (fish, poultry, or plant sources of protein such as quinoa, chickpeas, spinach etc.)
Eat more vegetables, especially those with fiber such as broccoli.
Take a multivitamin daily.
Add Chromium as a supplement to reduce cravings and control blood sugar metabolism.
Add cinnamon to taste as it helps control blood glucose levels as well.
